2020 Steak & Burger Virtual Fundraising Event
Together....we remain CLUB STRONG!!!
Steak & Burger
Last year over 200 caring community leaders and individuals came together for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tar River Region Annual Steak & Burger Dinner Fundraiser at the beautiful Rose Hill Conference Center.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year the adults and Club members will not be able to gather in person to enjoy steak and burger dinners. However, the show must go on!
Please join us for our FIRST EVER virtual Steak & Burger Fundraiser, Thursday, October 29th at 7:00 pm on FB Live! We will have a night full of exciting entertainment provided by our very own Club members along with a Silent Auction, our State Youth of the Year Winner, Elijah Sellers, and the World's Fastest speed painter, D. Westry!
As a Master of Speed Art, D. Westry reclassifies and exemplifies a new art renaissance with his very own creative trademark articulations and expressions. Most essentially, he paints patriotic, celebrity portraits, sporting heroes, rich & well-known charity ambassadors, custom images, themes, and much more live in front of audiences according to your requirement. It can be stated that he is not only a mesmerizing performer but rather a genius of the arts.
Elijah Sellers is a unique 16-year-old who attended Edgecombe County Public Schools until this fall where he is currently a junior at the NC School of Science and Math in Durham, NC. Elijah has a 4.28 GPA and has been a member of the Boys & Girls Club for 9 years. He places his club experience among those that have changed his life and shaped him into the profound young man he is today.
Elijah is currently the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tar River Region's 2020 Youth of the Year and NC State Youth of the Year. Elijah is very passionate about issues dealing with equality and the whole child. He plans to attend NC State University and major in Genetic Engineering.
